Bessie the Deer is a darling addition to any soft toy collection. Made with the softest wool blend fabric, she boasts sparkly gold antlers and a matching tulle skirt. Perfect for cuddles, Bessie loves picking daffodils, sitting on her mum's knee, and eating pink ice cream cones. She does not like tomatoes. She measures 40cm.

More about the artist: All the and the little dog laughed friends are designed in Australia by wonderful artist Kylie Platt who Liz was lucky enough to meet at a trade show. They formed an instant connection about stories and childhood hopes. When she was little, Kylie would sit in her Nana’s back room sewing clothes for her dolls, and learning to knit and crochet. She always loved that feeling of creating something from nothing. After seeing so many soft toys come and go in her own children’s lives—often poorly made, loved for a moment, and quickly discarded—Kylie set out to create something different. The name comes from one of Kylie’s favorite nursery rhyme as a child “Hey Diddle Diddle” — a gentle reminder to laugh, dream, and hold onto the wonder of being little.
